Job Summary

Joining a compassionate team, the full-time California Licensed Disability Specialist will evaluate claims, determine benefit eligibility, and guide employees towards successful return-to-work strategies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Manages a caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims, ensuring accurate eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations
  • Communicates with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather necessary information and provide superior customer service
  • Analyzes claims activity and prepares reports while ensuring a seamless transition of claims from STD to LTD
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
  • Familiarity with ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
  • Experience with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and web-based systems
