California Licensed Disability Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time California Licensed Disability Specialist will manage a caseload of disability claims, evaluate eligibility, and guide employees through return-to-work strategies in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manages assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
• Communicates with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information and ensure accurate benefit determinations
• Analyzes claims activity and prepares reports for clients and management as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
• Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
• Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and web-based systems
