California Licensed Disability Specialist

Job Summary

To support Broadspire's expanding PMFL team, the full-time California Licensed Disability Specialist will manage a caseload of disability claims, communicate with various stakeholders to ensure benefit eligibility, and provide superior customer service in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manages assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
• Communicates with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding eligibility and benefit authorization
• Provides timely benefit determinations and ensures a seamless transition from STD to LTD claims

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
• Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
• Aptitude for learning medical terminology and interpreting regulations
