Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Electrical Engineer, the full-time remote Electrical Design Engineer will independently design and review electrical deliverables for utility-scale solar projects, focusing on sizing MV cable and collection systems while leading design reviews and collaborating with structural teams.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review electrical drawings and develop electrical deliverable packages for utility-scale solar projects
- Lead design reviews using internal checklists and quality processes, with authority to sign off on deliverables
- Collaborate with the structural design team to drive coordinated value engineering across electrical and structural scopes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of electrical design experience, specifically in utility-scale solar projects
- Working knowledge of BOS components and relevant NEC articles
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with internal tools
- Ability to work independently and own deliverables with minimal oversight
