Job Summary

To support the administration of employee benefits within the CCSB Covered California Small Business exchange, the part-time hourly California Licensed Eligibility Specialist will manage enrollments, terminations, and member inquiries while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Key responsibilities
  • Process and maintain eligibility and billing for CCSB accounts, including manual and electronic enrollment transactions
  • Provide support to the CCSB Small Business call center team, ensuring efficient customer service operations
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of Accounting/Business experience preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare eligibility and billing procedures, including HIPAA and COBRA regulations
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with proprietary healthcare systems
  • Experience in customer service, with the ability to resolve technical issues and client problems
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) is a plus
