Job Summary
To support the administration of employee benefits within the CCSB Covered California Small Business exchange, the part-time hourly California Licensed Eligibility Specialist will manage enrollments, terminations, and member inquiries while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process and maintain eligibility and billing for CCSB accounts, including manual and electronic enrollment transactions
- Provide support to the CCSB Small Business call center team, ensuring efficient customer service operations
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of Accounting/Business experience preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare eligibility and billing procedures, including HIPAA and COBRA regulations
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with proprietary healthcare systems
- Experience in customer service, with the ability to resolve technical issues and client problems
- Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) is a plus
