California Licensed Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in SDR Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded C/C++ & Python software for LEON3 softcore processors and support autoboot mechanisms for FPGA initialization
• Collaborate with FPGA engineers for software system integration, debugging, and requirements traceability
• Implement and test communication protocols, including SpaceWire, and maintain Linux build environments for cross-compilation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
• At least 5+ years of experience in embedded software development or relevant roles
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required
• Strong experience in C/C++ for embedded systems, preferably in softcore processor environments
• Hands-on experience with Linux build environments and cross-compilation using Gaisler tools
