Job Summary

A company is looking for an Emergency Department Facility Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Code all diseases in the Emergency Department according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines
• Stay updated on coding policies and procedures, ensuring understanding of procedure changes
• Communicate unclear information with supervisors and maintain production standards

Required Qualifications

• AHIMA: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credentials required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10 Outpatient Coding principles
• Ability to maintain accuracy and productivity levels in coding assignments
• Availability to work full-time hours between 6 AM and 6:30 PM Pacific time, Monday to Friday
