Job Summary
Leading a team of Employee Relations Directors across 14 states, the full-time California Licensed Employee Relations Director will manage complex employee relations matters, navigate regulatory compliance, and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and develop the regional Employee Relations team, ensuring high-quality support and consistent practices
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on California employment law and manage regulatory inquiries and audits
- Oversee complex employee relations cases and provide strategic guidance to enhance decision-making on people matters
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant California-specific expertise
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-state employee relations issues from inception to resolution
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop remote HR or Employee Relations teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred
- California HR certification required (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent)
