California Licensed Employment Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel, People.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the People Team and Chief Legal Officer in managing labor and employment-related topics across multiple US states and Canada
• Collaborate on projects related to incentive plans, equity administration, and audits
• Own and update employment-related policies and deliver training programs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in employment/labor law, with at least 1 year in-house at a tech company preferred
• J.D. and admission to the state bar, or ability to practice law in-house
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Strong analytical and strategic skills for resolving issues quickly
• Experience managing outside counsel on employment-related matters
