Job Summary

Supporting Human Resources and business partners on employment law matters, the remote Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation will provide pragmatic legal advice, manage non-employment litigation, and oversee third-party claims while operating independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment law matters including hiring, performance management, and employee investigations
• Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies, and design training events on employment law
• Manage litigation processes, including overseeing outside counsel and supporting employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions

Required qualifications

• JD from an accredited institution and admission to a State Bar in good standing
• 8+ years of employment law and litigation practice experience in a law firm or in-house corporate legal department
• Experience with employment law and litigation at a major law firm
• Benefits experience, including ERISA and fiduciary compliance
• Prior in-house work experience preferred
