California Licensed Employment Counsel

Job Summary

Leading the Company's employment law and litigation strategy, the remote VP, Employment & Litigation Counsel will manage litigation portfolios, provide legal advice on employee relations, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and HR on complex legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop strategy for the Company's overall litigation and pre-litigation portfolio
• Provide legal counsel on employee relations, workplace investigations, and compliance matters
• Direct and manage outside counsel, ensuring high-quality legal work and efficient case strategy

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one state bar
• 12+ years of combined employment law and litigation experience, including in-house and/or law firm experience
• Strong litigation management experience, including oversight of outside counsel and complex litigation
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Experience advising senior business leaders on complex employee relations matters
