California Licensed Employment Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal advice on complex employment law issues, the full-time Senior Counsel, Labor and Employment will collaborate with HR and leadership to manage legal risks, oversee compliance projects, and develop training programs, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents while overseeing the work product of others
- Conduct and manage comprehensive legal research and analysis to inform business strategies and decisions
- Assess legal risks and provide expert guidance on critical organizational matters, managing outside counsel as necessary
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
