California Licensed Environmental Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Environmental Consultant, the full-time Senior Managing Consultant will provide strategic and operational leadership within the Aviation Environmental practice, guiding complex NEPA programs and mentoring teams while working remotely or in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with practice leadership to drive operational excellence, including resource planning and quality control across aviation environmental projects
• Provide senior oversight on NEPA documents, including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Categorical Exclusions (CatEx) for major airport projects
• Act as an executive-level advisor to airport sponsors and aviation clients, supporting business development and representing the firm in industry forums

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience with a focus on aviation infrastructure
• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex NEPA documents for commercial service airports
• Direct experience with FAA Airport District Offices and regional environmental staff
• Advanced degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders
