Job Summary
Leading the repair and maintenance of advanced robotic systems, the full-time California Licensed Field Service Engineer will focus on troubleshooting complex electrical systems, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement in repair processes while working onsite during the first shift from 6am to 2pm.
Key responsibilities
- Execute repair and maintenance of complex prototype electromechanical sub-assemblies and identify root causes of electrical system failures
- Create repair runbooks and collaborate with design engineers to iterate and improve prototype designs
- Lead technical aspects of repair projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment among team members and management
Required qualifications
- Experience with maintenance and repair workflows
- Proficiency in repair ticketing or issue management tools such as JIRA
- Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups
- Familiarity with communication interfaces, e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C
- A deep passion for mentoring and fostering a culture of excellence and best practices
