California Licensed Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the repair and maintenance of advanced robotic systems, the full-time California Licensed Field Service Engineer will work second shift from 2 pm to 10 pm, focusing on troubleshooting complex electrical systems, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement in repair processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead repair and maintenance of complex prototype electromechanical sub-assemblies and systems
• Troubleshoot electrical system failures and create repair documentation with minimal guidance
• Collaborate with design engineers to iterate on prototype designs and improve quality control

Required qualifications

• Experience with maintenance and repair workflows
• Proficiency in repair ticketing or issue management tools such as JIRA
• Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups
• Familiarity with lab equipment including oscilloscopes and power supplies
• Experience with communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C
