California Licensed Financial Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Controller to join their Finance & Operations team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process and ensure accuracy of financial data and statements
• Maintain and improve financial systems, forecasts, and reporting tools
• Lead audit preparation and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including nonprofit accounting
• CPA, CMA, MBA/MPA, or equivalent experience in nonprofit financial management
• Experience managing complex finances, including multiple restricted grants
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with QuickBooks
• High proficiency in Excel and experience managing annual audits
