Job Summary

Leading a team of financial counselors, the full-time California Licensed Financial Counseling Manager will optimize front end financial counseling services for a multi-site oncology Management Services Organization, ensuring timely and compassionate financial guidance while collaborating with clinical teams to enhance patient access and support informed treatment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team providing real-time financial support to patients and oncology care teams, addressing complex financial issues that may disrupt care
• Oversee front end revenue cycle functions, ensuring accurate insurance verification, benefits interpretation, and timely resolution of coverage issues
• Manage processes for enrolling patients in financial assistance programs and maintain expertise in oncology reimbursement and payer policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle or financial counseling, preferably in oncology
• 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance plans, oncology benefits, and prior authorizations
• Experience in a large MSO or multi-site oncology practice, with familiarity in EHR and RCM systems
