Job Summary
Joining a rapidly growing Professional Services organization, the full-time California Licensed Forward Deployed Engineer will partner with enterprise customers to design and implement Kong-based solutions, focusing on API and AI connectivity while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and implement Kong-based solutions across various environments
- Lead hands-on implementation efforts for API gateways, AI gateways, and related connectivity technologies
- Build automation frameworks and migration tooling to simplify customer adoption and modernization efforts
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering roles
- Strong hands-on software engineering and implementation experience with API gateways or distributed systems
- Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua
- Experience with major cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP
