California Licensed Functional Safety Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Functional Safety Manager for Autonomous Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety engineering processes to comply with ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and ISO 8800 standards
• Promote a positive safety culture through training and mentoring
• Act as the primary contact for safety-related concerns during development and collaborate with partners on safety engineering efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• At least 8 years of experience in automotive development and integration for safety-related systems
• Deep understanding of functional safety and ISO 26262 processes
• Familiarity with quality systems and tools, such as Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949
• Experience with system safety methodologies, including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and CPA
