California Licensed General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a General Counsel to oversee legal affairs and enterprise risk while supporting growth-focused business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership on legal risks and implications of strategic decisions, including M&A activities
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and develop contract templates and guidelines
• Oversee compliance with laws and regulations, manage disputes, and provide guidance on employment-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; must be able to practice law in California
• 10+ years of legal experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or related supply chain industries
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
• Strong knowledge of regulatory areas including commercial law, transportation regulations, and employment law
• Proven ability to provide business-oriented legal advice and manage disputes effectively
