Job Summary
To support the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program, the part-time Assistant Program Director will assist with program administration, curriculum design, and student mentoring while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and engaging in strategic planning.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor program compliance with accreditation standards and assist in the development of strategic plans and operating budgets
- Teach and mentor students in genetic counseling courses and manage clinical training experiences
- Support the admissions process and participate in program evaluation and faculty recruitment activities
Required qualifications
- Master's in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC accredited institution
- Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or a related licensing board
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a genetic counselor
- Experience in administrative, teaching, or research roles
- General knowledge of leadership responsibilities within an academic setting
