Job Summary
Providing clinical genetic counseling services, the full-time California Licensed Genetic Counselor will collaborate with Geneticists and specialty providers to deliver comprehensive assessments and medical genetic counseling in a fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide medical genetic counseling to patients and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate genetic data into patient care
- Utilize knowledge of genetic conditions and diagnostic testing methodologies to inform counseling practices
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an ABGC accredited program
- California Genetic Counselor License or Provisional Genetic Counselor License
- Active Candidate Status for the ABGC Board Examination upon hire
- In-depth knowledge of human genetics theories, principles, and ethical considerations
- Familiarity with clinical manifestations of various genetic conditions and diagnostic testing methodologies
