Job Summary

To support mental healthcare initiatives, the part-time Contractor Grant Writer will develop persuasive RFP responses and grant applications for California-based behavioral health programs while working remotely and setting flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage successful government proposals and RFP responses, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
• Collaborate with executive leaders and clinical teams to articulate program models and service outcomes
• Gather programmatic and financial data to produce clear, persuasive content under tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in public health, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in proposal and RFP management within the behavioral health domain
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Skilled in information gathering and compliance auditing against RFPs and scoring rubrics
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and AI-supported proposal tools for document review workflows
