California Licensed Health Information Coder

Job Summary

To support a diverse and patient-focused team, the full-time California Licensed Health Information Coder will perform inpatient coding across various surgical and medical specialties in a remote setting, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with coding standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct inpatient coding for a range of specialties, including surgical and medical procedures
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and accuracy in documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support quality patient care and revenue cycle management

Required qualifications:

• A valid credential from AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient and/or observation coding within an acute care setting
• Proven proficiency in medical coding practices
• Experience with inpatient coding, including various specialties
• Familiarity with coding systems such as Epic and 3M 360 CAC
