Job Summary
To support the operations team, the full-time California Licensed Home Lending Underwriter will evaluate loan applications, assess risk, and ensure compliance with lending guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite residential loan applications in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk factors to make informed lending decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues related to loan processing and documentation
Required qualifications
- Active California Home Lending Underwriter license
- Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience in residential lending
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
- Experience with automated underwriting systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
