California Licensed Hospital Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as the primary legal contact for assigned California hospitals, the remote Primary Hospital Counsel will provide day-to-day legal advice on healthcare regulatory and operational matters, draft and review legal documents, and manage legal issues independently while collaborating with the broader legal team.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to hospital leadership and operational teams
• Research and analyze federal and California healthcare laws for regulatory compliance and risk management
• Draft and review contracts, legal memoranda, and training materials related to hospital operations

Required qualifications:

• Active California Bar license required
• 5-8 years of legal experience
• Experience practicing healthcare regulatory law, either in-house or at a law firm
• Prior experience advising hospitals or healthcare providers
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
