Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder I/II to provide remote coding support for inpatient accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient, outpatient, and ED records using ICD-10-CM and CPT
• Abstract clinical information into Meditech systems
• Maintain 95% accuracy in coding and abstracting

Required Qualifications

• Coder I: AHIMA Certification: CCS, or both RHIT and CCA, with 1+ year of coding experience in an acute hospital setting
• Coder II: AHIMA Certification: CCS required, with 2+ years of inpatient coding in acute care setting
• Familiarity with Expanse (Meditech) preferred
• Experience with high-dollar, mortality-based inpatient cases preferred
• Strong understanding of DRG coding and abstracting best practices preferred
