Job Summary

Managing the underwriting process for new and renewal business, the full-time California Licensed Inside Underwriter will evaluate risk, negotiate coverage terms, and ensure compliance with internal and carrier standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within binding authority and brokerage markets, including risk evaluation and coverage placement
• Manage the end-to-end underwriting process, including submissions, quoting, binding, and policy confirmation
• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers while ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy and resolving coverage issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
• Experience in underwriting or brokering specialty or E&S insurance products
• State-specific insurance license required
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk evaluation
• Ability to manage high-volume underwriting workflows with accuracy and efficiency
