California Licensed Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

Focused on resolving insurance processing errors and denials, the full-time remote California Licensed Insurance Specialist will manage claims inventory, communicate with patients and insurance companies, and ensure accurate billing and payment processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Reduce outstanding accounts receivable by managing claims inventory
• Gather information from various stakeholders to register patients and determine financial responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to inquiries regarding benefits and billing

Required qualifications:

• Diploma/GED
• 2+ years of medical billing/follow-up experience
• 2+ years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors
• 2+ years of hospital billing experience
• Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
