California Licensed Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient access to care, the fully remote California Licensed Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure accurate service setup while collaborating with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities, collect payments, and document interactions accurately
• Work with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation and ensure timely care delivery

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required
• Experience in administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, or customer service preferred but not required
• Familiarity with healthcare organizations, pharmacy, or medical supply environments is a plus
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
