California Licensed Intake Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting patient access to care, the fully remote California Licensed Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure services are set up accurately and efficiently while collaborating with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibilities and collect payments as necessary
• Work with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete and compliant documentation for timely care

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a relatable field, such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, or customer service preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures and directives
