Job Summary
Leading inpatient coding, billing compliance, and revenue integrity audits, the full-time California Licensed Internal Auditor will manage audit engagements from planning to reporting, provide guidance to operational teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives in Sacramento, California.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead inpatient coding, billing compliance, and revenue integrity audits
- Manage audit engagements, including scope, timelines, budgets, and reporting
- Evaluate coding and recommend improvements based on regulatory and organizational requirements
Required qualifications:
- California Licensed Internal Auditor certification
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required; RHIA, RHIT, CDIP, and/or CCDS preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of recent relevant experience in auditing or healthcare compliance
- Extensive knowledge of hospital rules, regulations, and coding systems (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS)
