California Licensed Labor Attorney

Job Summary

Supporting a rapidly growing technology company, the full-time California Licensed Labor Attorney will manage day-to-day employment-related legal matters, partnering with HR and stakeholders while working fully remotely for a six-month project with potential extension.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on employee lifecycle documentation and employee relations support
• Assist with leave and accommodation matters, discovery, records management, and subpoena responses
• Deliver multi-state employment counseling, particularly focused on California and other specified states

Required qualifications

• Active California Bar license and strong experience in California employment law
• Proven background in handling various employment-related legal issues
• Experience working collaboratively with HR and internal business stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment
• Familiarity with multi-state employment regulations, particularly in Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, and Colorado
