California Licensed Law Clerk

Job Summary

To support the Southern California Staff Counsel team, a part-time California Licensed Law Clerk will conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and assist attorneys with case materials in a remote environment, working approximately 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Research laws, court decisions, and other legal information related to cases
• Prepare briefs and legal memoranda, providing suggestions or recommendations
• Assist trial attorneys in preparing documents for court sessions, mediations, and trials

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Second or third year law student with an interest in civil litigation, personal injury, or insurance defense
• Availability for approximately 20 hours per week during the fall semester
