Job Summary
Leading the daily operations of a machine shop, the full-time California Licensed Lead Machinist will oversee machining efforts across various equipment, produce high-quality components, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance manufacturing processes in Los Angeles, California.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and equipment readiness
- Lead machining across CNC mills, lathes, and other fabrication equipment to manufacture precision components
- Develop tooling and processes that improve throughput and quality while maintaining a safe and organized shop environment
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of machining experience with significant hands-on CNC experience
- Experience leading or supervising a machine shop or production environment
- Strong expertise with CNC mills, lathes, tooling, and machine optimization
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T and tolerance requirements
- Experience programming using CAM software and collaborating with mechanical engineering teams
