Job Summary
Leading applied research and evaluation efforts, the California Licensed Lead Research Scientist will oversee a team, ensuring scientific quality and methodological rigor while working remotely on a full-time or part-time basis, contributing to health equity initiatives and translating findings into actionable strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and dissemination of applied research and evaluation studies
- Lead the translation of research findings into actionable strategies and technical assistance products for partners
- Supervise and mentor research associates and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-quality research environment
Required qualifications
- Five years of applied research, evaluation, or implementation science experience
- Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, health informatics, or related field; or a bachelor's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-method research and evaluation projects
- Proficiency in advanced quantitative and qualitative methods, including multivariate modeling and thematic synthesis
- Experience in community-based participatory research and systems-level evaluation
