California Licensed Lead Substation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Substation Engineer to manage and oversee substation design projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage consultants' work and ensure compliance with technical standards
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical documentation for projects
• Design high voltage and medium voltage substations, including layout and electrical arrangements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program
• Eight years of professional experience in substation design and engineering for electrical utilities
• Familiarity with grounding studies and IEEE Standards related to substations
• Experience with power analysis software (e.g., SKM, Etap, EasyPower)
• Proficient in Microsoft Projects, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
