Job Summary
To support the development of AI models, the full-time temporary Knowledge Expert Coder - Legal will provide domain expertise, guide research teams, and ensure high-quality annotation standards while working remotely in the USA.
Key responsibilities
- Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in legal practice
- Create, edit, and maintain high-quality annotation guidelines tailored to specific legal sub-domains
- Evaluate and grade the quality of annotations produced by vendors, providing actionable feedback for improvement
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent in a law-related field, with valid Bar licensure
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the legal field, including teaching or mentoring advanced legal concepts
- Familiarity with AI tools, specifically Claude code or similar technologies
- Exceptional analytical abilities to identify trends and evaluate annotation quality
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
