Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time California Licensed Litigation Docketing Specialist will independently review legal documents to accurately calculate and disseminate docket dates, enter deadlines into the firm's litigation docketing platform, and provide proactive support to litigation teams.
Key responsibilities
- Review legal documents and litigation correspondence to calculate and disseminate docket dates per court rules
- Enter all deadlines for litigation matters into the Milana docketing platform and coordinate with litigation teams
- Prepare and distribute docket reports and assist with research regarding court rules for assigned jurisdictions
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in computing deadlines in federal, state, and agency court jurisdictions
- Thorough knowledge of litigation docketing processes and federal/state court procedural rules
- Demonstrated knowledge of the litigation lifecycle
- Must reside in the Pacific time zone and be able to work Pacific time zone hours
- Experience with rules-based docketing systems; familiarity with Milana is preferred
