Job Summary
Handling all phases of active litigation matters, the full-time California Licensed Litigation Paralegal will manage a portfolio of trust and probate cases, ensure timely court filings, and support case strategy within a flexible work-from-home environment in San Diego, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of trust and probate litigation matters from intake through resolution or trial, ensuring appropriate case progress and communication with attorneys
- Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing trial support materials
- Serve as a central communication point for attorneys and clients, mentoring junior staff and supporting onboarding and case planning
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with at least 3+ years in trust and estate litigation
- Experience supporting a minimum of 25 depositions and 3 trials
- Strong knowledge of Probate Code, California Rules of Court (CRC), and Code of Civil Procedure (CCP)
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and familiarity with litigation support tools like Trial Director
- Experience with case management systems, preferably Clio, and strong Microsoft Office skills
