Job Summary
Acting as a single point of contact for Loss Mitigation activities, the full-time California Licensed Loss Mitigation Specialist will work remotely to assist borrowers facing financial hardships by identifying homeownership retention options and managing communication regarding loss mitigation evaluations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on assigned loan products, ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate Loss Mitigation evaluation outcomes to borrowers and coordinate the receipt of necessary documents for applications
- Manage an assigned work queue to ensure timely and accurate communications with borrowers regarding their loss mitigation options
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mortgage loss mitigation role
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan documents and compliance with federal debt collection laws and regulations
- Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with document retention software
