Job Summary
Evaluating and resolving 1st and 3rd party auto physical damage claims, the fully remote California Licensed Material Damage Specialist will inspect damages, prepare comprehensive repair estimates, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with fair claims practices and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in complex files
- Applies mastered content in interpretations to support peers and mentor less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
- Experience in auto physical damage claims handling
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing vehicle repair estimates
- Knowledge of estimating platforms such as CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex
- Prior field estimating or material damage appraisal experience preferred
- Strong background in negotiating claim settlements and managing complex files
