California Licensed MDS Consultant

Job Summary

Overseeing the resident assessment process, the full-time California Licensed MDS Consultant will ensure timely completion of MDS assessments, provide training to new MDS Coordinators, and facilitate monthly workshops on PDPM and CMS regulations in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight on facilities' weekly PDPM meetings and track effective utilization of PDPM tools
• Create clinical reporting systems and hold monthly workshops on PDPM and CMS-related regulations
• Ensure accurate completion of MDS assessments and coordinate interdisciplinary participation for new admissions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent Accredited Nursing Program Degree
• MDS certification preferred
• Experience in clinical and management roles, preferably in a regional or corporate setting
• Knowledge of CMS/OIG surveys and regulations
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
