California Licensed Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare technology team, the part-time California Licensed Medical Assistant will engage with patients, providers, and pharmacies to optimize patient outcomes, resolve medication-related issues, and document interactions using Arine's software platform in a remote call center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engaging patients over the phone to explain clinical programs and benefits while managing a consistent volume of calls
• Documenting all interactions and interventions accurately in Arine's software platform and meeting performance metrics
• Escalating medication-related issues to pharmacists and following up with healthcare providers to facilitate clinical interventions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or a related field preferred; healthcare certification (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant) is a plus
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medication names (brand and generic)
• Experience in a high-volume, metrics-based healthcare call center or similar patient-facing environment
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace and comfort using collaboration tools
• Ability to work 40 hours/week within company operating hours, including potential Saturday shifts
