California Licensed Medical Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing Medical Affairs organization in the ophthalmology space, the contract Medical Communications Manager will work remotely to develop, review, and manage scientific communication initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical materials.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of medical communications initiatives for an ophthalmology-focused portfolio
• Translate clinical data and scientific literature into clear and accurate medical communication materials
• Coordinate the review and approval processes for scientific materials, ensuring alignment with organizational standards

Required qualifications

• Professional experience in Medical Communications, Medical Affairs, or related functions within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Experience with ophthalmology, optometry, or related therapeutic areas is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Veeva Vault or comparable content-management platforms
• Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and timelines
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams and communicate with diverse stakeholders
