Job Summary
Providing clinical expertise in oncology care, the remote California Licensed Medical Director Oncology will assess medical necessity and appropriateness of treatment plans while collaborating with clinical teams and operational leaders to enhance value-based care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical reviews and make independent clinical decisions regarding hematology and oncology treatment plans
- Review and assess ongoing cancer treatment plans to ensure alignment with evidence-based medicine and clinical best practices
- Evaluate clinical and utilization data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in care delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Board Certification in Oncology
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in oncology
- 2+ years of Utilization Management experience
- Strong understanding of oncology-specific treatment protocols and reimbursement policies
