California Licensed Medical Records Consultant

Job Summary

To manage and support medical records across multiple facilities, the full-time California Licensed Medical Records Consultant will ensure accuracy, compliance with legal requirements, and maintain confidentiality while collaborating with medical records managers and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Implement and maintain record-keeping systems, providing training to staff on proper usage
• Conduct regular audits of medical records practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in medical records management
• Strong knowledge of federal and state guidelines related to medical records
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Point Click Care
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
