California Licensed Medical Science Director

Job Summary

To support medical affairs activities across various therapeutic areas, the remote California Licensed Medical Science Director will engage with healthcare providers, maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, and contribute to scientific discussions at medical congresses while managing compliance and educational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support medical affairs activities through scientific exchange and cross-functional collaboration in oncology and related fields
• Serve as a scientific resource for healthcare providers and institutional decision-makers, fostering relationships with key opinion leaders
• Develop and facilitate scientific discussions at medical congresses and advisory boards, while ensuring compliance with medical information requests

Required qualifications

• Advanced healthcare or scientific degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent)
• 1-5+ years of experience in an academic institution, healthcare system, or pharmaceutical/biotech setting, with oncology experience required
• Prior field medical/MSD/MSL experience preferred, including 1+ years of scientific engagement experience
• Proven ability to engage healthcare systems and institutional stakeholders effectively
• Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills
