California Licensed Medical Science Director

Job Summary

To support medical affairs activities in oncology and related therapeutic areas, the remote California Licensed Medical Science Director will engage with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders, facilitate scientific discussions, and contribute to medical strategies in a direct-hire capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Support medical affairs through compliant scientific exchange, insight gathering, and cross-functional collaboration
• Serve as a scientific resource to healthcare providers and institutional decision-makers across various healthcare settings
• Develop and support scientific discussions at medical congresses and advisory boards while maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders

Required qualifications

• Advanced healthcare or scientific degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent)
• Prior field medical/MSD/MSL experience preferred, including 1+ years of scientific engagement experience
• 1-5+ years of experience within an academic institution, healthcare system, or pharmaceutical setting preferred
• Oncology experience required, with additional experience in infectious disease or nephrology preferred
• Proven ability to engage healthcare systems and institutional stakeholders effectively
