Job Summary
To support a range of small businesses in managing IT environments, the part-time California Licensed Microsoft Consultant will provide expertise in Windows Server and desktop operating systems, focusing on system infrastructure, Active Directory, and Exchange services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support and repair Windows Server environments and desktop PCs, addressing issues related to availability, security, and functionality
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers, including Active Directory and Exchange
- Design IT topologies and maintain network services, ensuring efficient architecture and 24x7 server monitoring
Required qualifications
- Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA) certification
- 10+ years of experience in desktop, server management, and network infrastructure support
- 5+ years of consulting experience in IT environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network layers 1 through 4
- Proven ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office environment
